Beaunne

By early evening on Friday, we'd reached Beaunne, the epicentre of Burgundy's wine trade and home of our friend Christophe and his children. Christophe put us up for the night and made us a terrific meal, which we ate in the courtyard of his home, with 2 of his children; Charlotte and Camille.
On Saturday morning we had petit dejeuner at a local cafe and a wander Beaunne's flea and food markets. Beaunne is food and wine heaven, with an unbelievable amount of fresh veg, cheese, sausages, breads and lots and lots of really good wine. I could very happily spend a long time there, just gauging myself on Beaunne's incredible produce.
We were away by 10.30, borrowing Christophe's car and driving to Auxerre, our next destination.
