Auxerre

It took us an hour and a half from Beaunne to Auxerre and a very easy drive (thanks to Becky's Tom Tom) where we were staying at the Hôtel Le Parc des Maréchaux. We thought we'd booked a modesty priced 3 star hotel but it turned out to be a sumptuous former chateau and we had a very beautiful room. The grounds even had blooming hydrangeas, my favourite flowers.
We had a quick walk around the town, had lunch and then got ready to head to Ingrid and Tanneguy's wedding.
