Ruby's Granny came to stay on Tuesday night and read Ruby a bedtime story.
On Thursday night, Hungarian friends Tamas and Csilla arrived, to stay for the weekend. They brought lots of Hungarian books and clothes for Ruby. We had a large, cooked breakfast, on Saturday morning and afterwards, all went to the British Museum. Ruby loved the Egyptian galleries and the Elgin Marbles and I adored the Garden and Cosmos exhibition.
After coffee in Neal's Yard; Ibolya, Ruby and I left Tamas and Csilla while we walked through to Soho and down Gerrard Street, showing Ruby Chinatown for the first time. The hanging lanters really caught her eye.
I made a big dinner on Saturday night, slow roasted shoulder of lamb with goose fat roasted potatoes and greens and Ibolya made her scrumptious pear and apple crumble.
After Eggs Royale for breakfast, Ruby, Ibolya and I went swimming and Ruby and I spent the afternoon together, practising more crawling and walking.
