I had the great honour of a visit at work from Ibolya and Ruby on Friday. I felt immensely proud of the them both, showing them round where I work and some of the people I work with. Afterwards I gave Ruby her first introduction to modern art, at Tate Britain. Not just any modern art but new modern art called Altermodern art. Sadly, this art equivalent to the Eurovision Song Contest isn't very good art, although Subodh Gupta's giant mushroom cloud of pots and pans 'Line of Control' is magnificent. I also really liked Bob and Roberta Smith's piece 'Off Voice Fly Tip'.
