We had the first, proper, summer Saturday in ages yesterday. So we took Ibolya's Mum for a day out in Brighton. The weather was perfect, with temperatures in the high twenties, and the town was jam packed with day-trippers.After a stroll around the Lanes we met up with one of my oldest and dearest friends, Mark and his family, for fish and chips at the Regency. Afterwards I had a paddle in the sea with Mark's children, Sammy and Aaron.
I really liked Sammy's self portrait
and her picture of me
and her picture of me
and I took this of Sammy

The main course was Rakott Kel, a very typical Hungarian dish, layered cabbage, rice, mince, paprika and yogurt.
Dessert was rather like Hungarian bread and butter pudding.

Before the movie, I met Jerry and Tony at the White Hart, behind Waterloo, where we dined on their excellent home made burgers.
The highlight of the evening, for me, was seeing these beautiful, wonderfully preserved streets of railway worker cottages.

Apparently, Little One is now starting to have conscious thoughts and remember things.
His hearing is also now well developed and will move his body in rhythm with our speech and can remember music that we play him. He's also able to recognise my voice.
