Ben and John

I only took a couple of pictures from the Saturday afternoon and evening I spent, off the wagon, with Stephen, Mark, Chloe, Ben and John - celebrating Mark's 35th birthday. But it was fantastic to finally meet Master Stoneham and to see what wonderful parents Chloe and Ben are.

Arielle's Birthday Party

On Sunday afternoon, 19th of January - we all went to Islington for Laura and Shirry's daughter Arielle's third birthday party. Shirry took these great pics.

Gymnastics

So this weekend we entertained Christophe Zimmer on Friday night and on Saturday morning Ruby had her first Gymnastics class! She's been super excited about this for weeks and been telling everyone about it. Lucas and I had a swim, while Ruby and Ibolya did the gymnastics thing. We all then went to City Academy for Lucas's ballet class, which he refused to do this week and for Ruby's first drama class. After lunch and homework, we went to Little Wormwood Scrubs. Ruby played in the adventure playground while Lucas had a major tired tantrum, walking round the perimeter. Ibolya made an Ottolenghi dinner and after R&L had gone to bed, we watched 2 magnificent episodes of The Bridge 2. On Sunday morning, we used Granny's Christmas treat money to take R&L to see the Gruffalo at the Lyric theatre followed by lunch in Chinatown. We had a relaxed afternoon on the sofas at home - Ruby made a city landscape, we had Toad in the Hole for diner and I, just about, managed to keep awake for the last episode of Sherlock. Ruby Can Cycle!

It was miraculous to take Ruby to the little park yesterday and see her cycle, unaided, all by her self - after I'd only taken her stabilisers off a couple of weeks ago!! I still can't quite get over it and we're so incredibly proud of her to conquer such a major and important life skill at 4 years of age!

Ruby Cycling Without Stabalisers

On Saturday afternoon, I took Ruby's stabalisers off her bike and she tried cycling, for the first time, completley unaided. I think that's a very major accomplishment and made me incredibly proud of Ruby. We did some more on Sunday and she cycled even further on her own.

Jerry's Stag do at Standon Calling

No sooner had I touched down from 2 idylic weeks, on holiday with my family, I found myself at teh Standon Calling festival for Jerry's stag do.
